44 days of planning left!

Versailles

So I was hoping to post every day but that is proving to be a little more tricky than I thought it would be, but I'm still going to try! Versailles is one of the places that I am most excited to visit. When I was in Paris my junior year of High School we went to Versailles but were only there for a few hours, enough time to do a rushed tour and wander a bit of the gardens (though there wasn't a ton too see outside as it was March). I remember walking through what seemed like mazes of trees and secluded areas and then happening upon a group of French boy scouts enthusiastically playing tag. It was probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen, all of them yelling at each other in French and wearing their boy scout uniforms. I couldn't help it but just stand there and watch them for a bit, hopefully I didn't weird them out at all (I'm sure they didn't even notice me they were having so much fun). This time I am looking forward to visiting the Grand Trianon, The Petite Trianon, and exploring even more of the gardens (and possibly renting a bike to do that)! :)

I had my interview the other day for living in the Foreign Language Student Housing (FLSR) next Fall/Winter and I think it went pretty well, can't wait to know officially! I also started signing up for the classes I will be taking in the Spring while in Paris and so far I think I'll be taking French 311 (3rd year conversation), French 362 (French Civilization 1715-Present) and French 345 (Francophone culture). Schoolwise its been a pretty stressful week and is probably just going to intensify with only 4 weeks of school left and this quote by President Gordon B Hinckley is always really helpful to me when I get a little stressed.

I rented a bike in the gardens! It was by far one of the best decisions I made that trip. Do it do it do it.
